After getting through Sunday’s El Clasico without having a spot-kick awarded against them, Barcelona are now the only team in Europe’s top five leagues to have not given away a penalty this season.

Bayern Munich saw their run come to an end at the weekend in their 2-2 draw with Mainz, leaving the Catalans out in front of all the teams in LaLiga, the Premier League, the Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1.

Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are the two other teams to have been tested just once from 12 yards, while Espanyol come second in LaLiga’s list having given away two spot kicks this season.

No team has ever gone a whole Liga campaign without conceding a penalty.
