Franco Vázquez returned to the starting XI in Saturday, with goals from Stevan Jovetic, Pablo Sarabia, Joaquín Correa and Wissam Ben Yedder securing a 4-2 win against Deportivo La Coruña.
The Argentine, making his first start since March 11, was pleased with the side’s performance at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán.
He said: “It was a very important victory after the results we’ve had of late. We had to win, today we did that and I think we did it playing well.
“We played well and I think that could be seen on the pitch. In the first half we could’ve scored more and now we have to keep our momentum going.”
The 28-year-old spoke of Sevilla’s desire to return to winning ways after a six-game winless spell, adding: “You could see everyone’s will to win. That can’t drop now, we hope things go well for us in the next few games. I hope this win kickstarts us for what is to come.”
