Taylor: Let’s Use The Momentum

Matty Taylor is confident that there is more to come from the Clarets ahead of the visit of MK Dons on Tuesday night.

The 33-year-old scored his second goal of the season against Sheffield Wednesday before Andre Gray’s maiden strike for the club secured all three points.

And Taylor believes there is still room for improvement despite registering a third straight league victory which propelled them to 5th in the Sky Bet Championship.

He said: “I still that think there’s probably more to come from us.

“We probably didn’t play wonderfully against Sheffield Wednesday but we’ve got the result, as we did at Bristol City.

“For me in my experience, that is the showing of a good team.”

Karl Robinson’s newly promoted Dons make a first-ever league trip to Turf Moor after a mixed start to their campaign, and Taylor is keen to maintain their early season momentum as the Championship gathers pace.

“It’s another opportunity for us at home, I’m sure MK Dons will want to come here and try to take something from the game.

“But we’re at home and we’re in good form at the moment so we’re picking up points and that in itself breeds confidence. If we can continue scoring goals then we’ll be alright.

“It’ll be a difficult game for us, they’ve started the season reasonably well so we’ve obviously got to put a performance in to try and take a win.”
